Marcus Rashford was supported to shine when he was ready for Aston Villa by the boss of Liverpool, Arne Slot before their Villa Parl meeting on Wednesday.
Rashford impressed the bench on weekends while Villa designed with Ipswich and has an impressive record against Liverpool.
The England striker scored five goals in eight premier League at home against Liverpool for Manchester United – with only Sergio Agüero (7), Thierry Henry (6) and Jamie Vardy (6) Manager more Against the Reds.
Slot says he expects Rashford to find his old form during his loan to Villa after being impressed by the attacker during a pre-season match against United last August.
He said: “The first time I faced him in real life was the tour in the United States in pre-season and I was impressed. I was really impressed at what speed it is, how it has a good height and is comfortable with the ball, so I think he is a very good player.
“I hope that he will show this to Villa.
“Of course, I was not hoping that he will do it tomorrow, but I would be completely surprised if a player of his quality will not show him because he is a very good player in my opinion.”
Rashford has been without objective since the beginning of December. Liverpool would serve 10 points clearly at the top of the Premier League with a victory at Villa Park.
