There was a ventilation of the talks between Manchester United and Bayern Munich and Mathys Tel would not go to Old Trafford.
Initially, Florian Prettenberg reported that such had agreed to make Old Trafford his next destination, but the strong requests from Bayern Munich would have had the transfer collapsed.
The agreement now outside the table, reports Fabrice Hawkins of RMC SportOther clubs are running, with arsenal among potential contenders, keeping an eye on the situation. Bayern’s reluctance to move on their requested price has left United without further attacker for the moment, although they can always be on the market for one. This occurs after the club has confirmed the moving of loan from Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa with an option to make this move permanent for 40 million pounds sterling.
United hoped to secure such on an initial loan with a purchase option at the end of the season for around 45 million pounds sterling. However, Bayern had different ideas, insisting on a more lucrative agreement, including a purchase obligation, something that United was not willing to meet.
The Florian Prettenberg of Sky Germany had previously confirmed that such was impatient to join United “immediately”, but these complications with Bayern put an end to any potential agreement.
Hawkins posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Negotiations between Manchester United and Bayern Munich failed.”

It was a rocky road for such, which had previously rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur, although the Spurs concluded an agreement with Bayern for a permanent transfer. President Daniel Levy even flew to Germany to try to convince the player to join the Ange Postcoglou team, but the Frenchman was not moved.
Now, with united out of the photo, the door is wide open so that other clubs move, with Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham which remain interested.
United can now move the accent to alternative targets, with Leon Bailey from Aston Villa, another striker who was linked to a move to Old Trafford.
