It was important to take a good start – Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma displayed a masterclass of shot in the match against RR after his luck in the second above the sleeves, which was turned upside down by Fazalhaq Farooqi.
A different version of Rohit was seen in the match because it did not play ultra-aggressive cricket and only sought to punish the bad balls from time to time.
He finished his sleeves with a score of 53 points in 36 balls, with 9 four and, surprisingly, not six. Rohit, who is one of the greatest six fronts of all time, not hitting a six during his long stay in the middle was a major surprise for everyone.
It was only the third time that Rohit Sharma marked a t20 fifty without six in his career, and it is the first moment of this type in six years.
Addressing the broadcasters during the mid-innings break, Rohit Sharma stressed the importance of getting rid of good starts. Rohit said:
“It was important to take a good start. Looking at a few overs, the ball was doing well and we took our chances. I wanted to hit as much as possible. It was sort of a slippage, we thought that hitting in a straight direction was a good option.
I took my chance and it paid – Rohit Sharma
While speaking of the DRs he took in the second, Rohit said he had taken his chance and that it paid. He said:
“(On her review) The only thing that worried was that if she made the line or not, it was a rocket ball, so I knew it wouldn’t bounce. I took my chance and it paid.”
Rohit also praised Ryan Rickelton and said that he understood his game very well and targets the quisors well. He said:
“(Rickelton) works very hard on his game and understands his game very well. Understands what a target bowler and chooses his place well. If he continues to beat like that, he augurs very well for us. Good for us to start this start.”
It is very important for us to understand the field – Rohit Sharma
Finally, Rohit said they had a lot of experience and smart players in the camp, who know what to do when. He developed:
“It is very important for us to understand the terrain and to use the variations. We should not be predictable and use the longest side. The guys are quite experienced in what they do and understand what is expected of them.
“It is a good score and we can defend it. If we get a few counters in the power game, we can brake them. If you watch our range of strikers, many of these guys have not struck for a few games. We give the necessary confidence to go there and beat freely. Most often, he knew that we have a strong command of the environment.
