Sony seems to develop AI technology that could allow its PlayStation game characters to interact even more directly with the players.
As The penis discovered on Monday, a video told by the director of Sony Interactive Entertainment software engineering, Sharwin Raghoebardajal, offers a compatible AI -compatible version of the company Horizon Game franchise.

While the original video has been removed, Certain parts continue to appear online.
According to The Verge, the video has demonstrated Prototype-Stade technology on PC, but it could be adapted to the Sony PlayStation 5 console.
Like many other technological companies, Sony has developed different types of AI agents and technologies.
On a Sony Ai websiteSociety affirms that it is “revolutionizing human interactions in virtual games and worlds with advanced AI agents that unlock new possibilities and deeper connections for game developers and players”.

Sony did not immediately respond to a CNET message about the disclosed video report.
While the companies of Nvidia, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Openai and Meta are in a race to develop new models and technologies of AI, Sony’s efforts seem to be aimed at improving the gameplay and to give players of its games to interact with the characters or to obtain advice on navigation on their experiences.
Previous reports, mainly based on Sony patent deposits, suggested that the company has developed AI assistants who would provide advice or help to play players. These efforts seem similar to those of Nvidia and Microsoft With inworld ai.
IA -centered characters could take up challenges
Nic Young, CEO and co-founder of OhA platform that works in AI infrastructure for avatars and other identity content, said that Sony’s decision could increase the playability of its games, especially things in open world.
“We have probably all played Skyrim’s main scenario half a dozen times, and although there are always new oddities and discoveries, the character’s repetitive dialogue gets new to novelty,” Young told Cnet. “Imagine rather that if these characters could provide a new dialogue each time, fully aware and reacted to the specific actions and history of the player – this would make infinity unpredictability and excitement.”
Young said the characters fueled by AI could make some games more personalized and break the mold of scripted dialogue trees, which makes the scenarios more unique.
“AI is intrinsically unpredictable-its creativity and novelty stem directly from its non-deterministic nature, which makes it difficult to control,” he said. “Finding the right balance between boring, but controllable and creative, but unpredictable is particularly critical for large companies like Sony.”
The challenges, he said, would be to put railings around this unpredictability to make players safe and draw enough IT resources to make AI convincing.
Well done, however, AI could change the nature of these types of games.
“The magic in the games comes from players who have really unique, immersive and personalized experiences,” said Young. “The transition of PNJs pre-scripted to truly intelligent characters is like the jump to read a book to the exploration of an open world game, again.”
