A federal judge ordered the restoration of the voice of America (VOA) on Tuesday, the state media network funded by the federal government that the White House dismantled this spring earlier.
Judge Royce Lamberth ruled in favor of the applicant’s request for a preliminary injunction, although the Trump administration is authorized to appeal the decision.
The complainants asked the court to cancel the orders putting around 1,300 VOA employees on administrative leave “and” cancel the termination of contracts with around 500 personal service entrepreneurs (PSC) with the VOA, cease to dismantle VOA and restore the staff and operating capacities of VOA. “”
President Donald Trump dismantled the news agency through an executive decree (EO) in March, saying that VOA had promoted biased reports.

“The non -statutory components and functions of the following government entities are eliminated to the maximum extent in accordance with the applicable law, and these entities will reduce the execution of their statutory functions and the personnel associated with the minimum presence and function required by law,” said the OE.
The OE has also dismantled VOA’s parent company, the United States agency for the world’s media, as well as Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty.
“Voice of America has been out of step with America for years. It has been used as a voice to Radical America and has pushed division propaganda for years now,” Fox News Fox News Digital Fox News official.
