Did we expect something other than a thriller in this AFC championship between these fierce rivals?
The Kansas City chiefs resisted the Buffalo Bills to win the AFC championship match, 32-29, in an absolute thriller at the Geha Field of the Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday evening.
Chiefs will now have a chance to enter the history of the NFL because they can become the first team to win three consecutive super bowls if they manage to defeat the Eagles of Philadelphia again.

The chiefs won the Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles in Arizona, 38-35, during the 2022 season.
Meanwhile, Josh Allen and the Bills now have a 0-4 file against the chiefs in the playoffs despite inflicting one of their two defeats during the regular 2024 season.
But Buffalo’s offensive ended up where she wanted in this match: at the end of the fourth quarter, with the ball in hand. The defense stopped Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offensive, forcing a basket with which Harrison Butker divided the amounts to take a 32-29 advance.

Allen, who was decisive throughout the season, had the chance to at least equalize the ball game, or better still, to make a winning touch with 3:33 to play in the fourth quarter.
However, the defensive coordinator of the Chiefs, Steve Spagnuolo, succeeded in the perfect game during consecutive games, starting with a third and a 10 on the Buffalo 42 line where he sent a total blitz. This led to a gain of five yards for Amari Cooper, leaving Allen and the Bills with a fourth and a five.
Then another blitz was triggered, but it was a cornerback sent to the pocket after the chiefs disguised it with the two seconds on the melee line and returned on the cover.
Allen launched a prayer in the middle of the field, and the winger closer Dalton Kincaid had a chance to create a chance, but she rebounded on her chest and hit the lawn.
This occurred after the two -minute warning, and Mahomes and the entire chiefing line knew they needed a few first trials to freeze the match. In the typical manner of the chiefs, they obtained what they needed while Isiah Pacheco achieved a first try on a capture of 10 yards and that Samaje Périne, on his sole touch of the match, succeeded 17 yards with 1: 35 to play and no dead time of the Bills to seal the victory.
The celebration began after a harsh victory of chiefs which was a thriller from the start.

Mahomes and the chiefs were called from the first possession of the match, traveling 90 yards in just nine games to see Kareem Hunt score on the ground 12 meters to quickly take the lead.
But this match took place from one end to the other, since Allen managed to take the lead at the start of the second quarter after orchestrated a training of 72 yards in 10 games, crowned by a race of six yards of James Cook.
The chiefs, however, took their biggest lead in the match after responding with 14 unanswered points when they marked consecutive touch to finish the first half. It was the recruit Xavier Worthy which again found the goals zone at 11 meters, while Mahomes himself rushed to a meter to bring the score to 21-10.
Buffalo, however, did not leave without fighting, reducing the advance to 21-16 before the end of half-time after Mack Hollins recovered a deep ball magnificently launched by Allen for a touch of 34 yards.
The Bills would end up resuming their advance in the second half after Cook scored his second hit in the match, and he arrived fourth and goal and forced him to jump over the defenders of the Chiefs and to pass his arm on the line to get there. A 22-21 competition.
The most important turning point in this match may have occurred in the next Bills training after they have forced a boot of clearance on the chiefs. At the fourth and one on the 41 yards line of Kansas City, the Bills chose to go for 13: 01 to play in the fourth quarter. Allen had a furtive quarter, but after examination of the replay, he was tried below the line to win, giving the chiefs the ball with an excellent position on the field to recover the ball.
Mahomes has not lost time with this opportunity, only needing five games to descend on the field and finish his training with another precipitated score for himself to bring the score to 29-22.
If the suspense was not enough, the Bills found themselves on the line of the four yards of the chiefs after Allen launched a Hollins in depth again on 32 yards in the third and eighth during the drive that followed. At the fourth goal, Curtis Samuel escaped the blanket and kept two feet in the goals area while scoring the touch to equalize again.
