“I did not go out with my parents until the age of 21. I did not go out to my friends until the age of 25.
“My sexuality is not the only reason that led me to be in this position. But I do not tell an authentic story if I do not say that I am gay and that I had real difficulties to hide myself that.
“I hid my emotions as a young reference and I also hid my sexuality – good quality as an arbitrator but a terrible quality as a human being.
“And that led me to a whole behavior course.”
He added: “I had problems around my self -esteem – and it concerns my sexuality. I am gay and I had trouble feeling proud to be” me “over a long period.
“I received deeply unpleasant abuses during my career as a reference and adding my sexuality to this would have been really difficult.”
Sky Sports News has also received a cooter declaration.
He read: “It was one of the most difficult periods of my life. I take full responsibility for my actions, which fell below what was expected of me.
“I am really sorry for any offense caused by my actions and for the negative spotlights he put on the game that I like.
“I hope people will understand that they were private moments taken during very low moments in my life. They do not reflect who I am today or what I think.
“My goal is now to continue to prioritize my mental health and well-being. I hope that my experiences, on and off the field, can be used in football at some point in the future.
“Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has recently supported me, in particular my family, my friends, the former colleagues, PGMOL and Howard Webb, and countless people through football.
