Lizzo celebrates new weight loss milestone
On Saturday, Lizzo shared the good news of her weight loss with her fans, along with a photo to show off her new look.
“I did it,” Lizzo said in the caption of her post. “Today when I stepped on the scale, I reached my weight loss goal. I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this remind you that you can do anything you put your mind to.”
“It’s time to set new goals!” » added the singer, hinting at her plans to lose more weight.
The post featured Lizzo in a two-piece workout outfit with a message that read, “Congratulations! You’ve reached your weight goals.”
The second slide of the post included a close-up photo of Lizzo’s stomach and a graph showing that she lost 10.5 points on the body mass index (BMI) scale and also reduced her body fat by 16%.

Fans praise singer for dedication to her weight loss journey
In the comments section of her post, Lizzo’s followers were full of praise, noting how encouraging it was to see the singer working towards the results.
One person said: “You look great! And you didn’t cheat to get there. The process is the best part.”
Another person noted, “Well done, Lizzo. Congratulations, and to hell with all the haters,” with several heart and fire emojis.
“Congratulations Lizzo…keep being happy and healthy…whatever,” a third person noted.
However, despite the show of support, some fans were disappointed, saying Lizzo had become another “diet influencer.”

Lizzo says she won’t be considered ‘thin’ at the end of her weight loss journey
On TikTok, Lizzo continued the celebration, talking more about her weight loss journey and where she plans to go.
“I’m actually on an intentional weight loss journey right now,” Lizzo noted. “Even at the end of my weight loss journey, I will in no way be considered thin.”
She continued: “I will still be considered morbidly obese by BMI, and the little brothers on the Internet will still call me ‘big back’. But I will be happy.”
The singer added, “Let this remind you that you can do anything, anything you put your mind to. Now, I guess it’s time to set some new goals.”

Lizzo says losing weight is the ‘slowest thing in the world’ for people who take the ‘natural’ route

In a March 2024 interview with the New York TimesLizzo emphasized that her weight loss has been intentional and gradual.
The singer explained: “I was methodical, I lost weight very slowly.”
She added that natural weight loss takes time and is not immediately noticeable: “I don’t really see it because if anyone who is on a natural weight loss journey knows, losing weight is in is doing the slowest thing in the world and you don’t know it.” I won’t really notice it until you notice it.
Addressing the constant focus on her appearance, Lizzo firmly stated, “My body is no one’s business.”
The singer shut down rumors she was on Ozempic
Since beginning her weight loss journey, Lizzo has faced rumors that she was using diabetes medications like Ozempic to slim down.
In September 2024, she approached the discussions in a playful way, shutting down the allegations with a humorous post on TikTok.
Lizzo captioned a video of herself in a dressing gown: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of bodybuilding and calorie deficit.”
The singer also responded to a fan who accused her of using drugs by commenting: “Why are you doing this? [you] follow me?”
In another post, she mocked the speculation with a caption that read: “Ozempic or coke?” – a fan.”
