Rangers change their Cameron approach
To strengthen their chances in the last stages of the Europa League, the Rangers would be about to guarantee the services of the Dundee Lyall Cameron star this month. Cameron was one of the young Scottish football stars this season, scoring eight goals and producing seven assists in 29 games for Dundee.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that the Rangers were about to land Cameron, whose contract in Dens Park is exhausted in summer. The Gers would have been ready to respond to Cameron’s salary requests and to land it in an agreement.
A new Insider football report suggests that the Rangers have moved their goal and Abandoned plans to secure Cameron on a permanent agreement this month. Instead, they are now in discussion with the midfielder concerning a pre-contract agreement.
The report indicates that the Rangers seek to finalize an agreement for a summer move, in the hope of persuading Cameron to refuse renewal offers and undertake to join Ibrox in the next transfer window.
