After a few great results that saw Real Madrid slipped to Laliga and Bayern Munich to continue their charge in Bundesliga on Saturday, it was up to some other giants to try to capitalize on the results.
Barcelona welcomed Deportivo seeking to capitalize on the abandoned points of their rivals in Espanyol.

Barcelona won a 1-0 victory against Deportivo in Montjuic, filling the gap over the leaders of Liga Le Real Madrid at four points.
Despite a dull display, the Blaugrana managed to grind the victory, thanks to the strike of Robert Lewandowski in the middle of the second half.
The first half was a lukewarm affair, Barcelona is struggling to find their pace.
Their only notable attempt came from Pedri, whose tamed shot was easily treated by Owono.
Deportivo, on the other hand, defended but failed to threaten the break, ending half-time without recording a single shot on the target.
The breakthrough has finally reached the 61st minute. The Lamine Yamal cross has deflected Tenaglia, falling perfectly for Lewandowski, which stole at close range.
Barcelona was earlier to break the dead end. In the 57th minute, the deflected Balde pass found Yamal, who installed Lewandowski for a header that rightly derived, although the out-of-game flag was raised. Shortly after, Yamal tested Owono with a powerful shot, but the goalkeeper of Alaves made a superb backup to keep his team in the game.

Inter and AC Milan played an exciting 1-1 draw in San Siro in the last edition of the Derby Della Madonnina.
Despite the domination of large parts of the match, the Inter had to go back to a goal to guarantee a part of the loot.
Inter started the game with brilliance, with goals from Federico Dimarco and Lautaro Martinez both excluded offside in the first half.
The Nerazzurri have created many chances but were disappointed by an unnecessary finish and the woodwork, which denied them three times.
Against the game race, Milan took the lead just before half-time. Rafael Leao’s powerful training was ready by Yann Sommer, but Tijjani Reijnders was the fastest to react, pulling the rebound in the roof of the net to place the Rossoneri.
Inter responded with intensity after the break, but was frustrated several times by the post and goalkeeper of Milan, Mike Maignan.
