India national cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma along with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer will not play for Mumbai in the next round of Ranji Trophy 2024-25. The Ajinkya Rahane-led team will take on Meghalaya at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in BKC from January 30.
According to reports from Times of India, it is learned that Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer will attend BCCI’S ANNUAL NAMAN AWANDS in Mumbai on February 1. After that, the trio will be heading to Nagpur for the short camp ahead of the ODI series against England.
Shivam Dube will also miss the match for Mumbai due to national duties
Not only the trio, but all-rounder Shivam Dube will also miss the match for Mumbai. Indeed, he was added to the India national cricket team for the T20I series against the England national cricket team after Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out of the series due to secondary strain .
A source close to the developments confirmed the same, revealing that after the BCCI awards on February 1, Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer will travel to Nagpur. Speaking to Times of India, he said:

The ODI series between India and England is scheduled to begin on February 6. The series will be a great preparation for the batters ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be played from February 19. India is expected to play games in Dubai.
