Christine BrunYsabel’s daughter had some reservations about her mother’s whirlwind engagement to her husband. David Woolley.
Sister Wives fans watched Christine and David get married during the Sunday, January 12, episode of the reality series, which also documented their loved ones’ reactions to the nuptials. As she prepared for the big day, Ysabel, 21, told Christine when she realized David would be The One.
“We were out of town and he looked at you and he said, ‘Oh, I love you so much,'” Ysabel said. “Like, just honest and pure. And I’ve never heard anyone say “I love you” so much.
Christine smiled as she listened to her daughter, who then shared a somewhat different story in front of the TLC cameras in a confessional.
“When David first proposed to my mother, I thought it was very soon. I thought it was too early,” Ysabel revealed. “But I think I’ve had time to adjust to it.”
Christine was previously spiritually married to Kody Brown for over 25 years, announcing their separation in November 2021. Kody’s relationships with his wives Janelle Brown And Meri Brun finished shortly after. He remains legally married to Robyn Brown.
After her split from Kody – with whom she shares six children, including Ysabel – Christine began her relationship with David in February 2023. He proposed two months later, and the couple exchanged vows in October 2023.
“It gave me a lot more clarity to see how much they love each other,” Ysabel said on Sunday’s episode. “I’m just excited and happy for them.”
When it came time for Christine to walk down the aisle, she was accompanied by her son, Paedon. “I said [him]“Am I supposed to be nervous?” “, recalls Christine in a confessional. “I’m not even nervous. And then we started walking and I just looked at David, and it’s like, “There’s my heart.” »
Paedon struggled to hold back tears as he walked beside his mother, telling her that David is “a really good man.” He entrusted Christine to his father, Rexjust before reaching the altar.
Reflecting on Christine’s wedding day, Ysabel gushed about the “perfect” ceremony in Utah. She then described how she’s adjusted to Christine and David “getting married so quickly,” sharing that she couldn’t be happier for the couple.
“I think I’ve had time to get to know David and get to know him, as a father and as someone who is just a really great guy,” she told the cameras. “I couldn’t imagine life without him now.”
Christine’s children celebrated seeing her so happy – and they weren’t the only ones supporting her. Janelle’s children were also there to help Christine move into her next chapter.
“For the first time in a long time, it felt like the real Brown family was back,” said his son Gabe, whose relationship with Kody has been rocky over the years.
Kody even expressed support for his ex’s new marriage. “Really, where I’m at, Christine is happy and that’s great,” he admitted, even though he felt “FOMO” about missing the wedding day.
Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
