According to HipHopDXJudge Arnold, the prosecution’s attorneys and A$AP’s attorney, Joe Tacopinagathered for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, January 15. During the hearing, the judge could be heard asking lawyers how he should refer to Rihanna during the case.
“Is this his girlfriend or his wife?” » seems to ask the judge in the images circulating.
In response, Tacopina explained that Rih is Rocky’s “common law wife”…or simply “wife.” The judge seemed ready to refer to Rih as a defense suggestion.
However, at that point, prosecutors stepped in to disagree.
“They are not legally married [so] we would prefer that she not be called his wife, but simply be called his significant other or [the mother of his children]”, explained a prosecutor.
Ultimately, the judge seemed swayed by the defense’s objection and asserted that if Rih and Rocky “are not legally married anywhere,” she would not be considered his wife.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Rocky is facing trial after being arrested in April 2022 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Additionally, the alleged victim, A$AP Relli, real name Terell Ephron, alleged that the rapper intentionally fired several shots at him. Additionally, Relli allegedly claimed to have been injured by bullet fragments.
To this day, Rocky has reportedly maintained his innocence, alleging that Relli’s allegations amounted to an extortion attempt.
