Threads adds a new feature that allows users to become a little more creative to remix the publications of other people. The application now has a “markup” tool that allows users to scribble in addition to the items they wish to reshape, Adam Mosseri shared .
The markup capacities appear in the menu to cite and republish. But instead of simply quoting an article, he launches an editing tool where you can add protruding facts, arrows or scribbles above a screenshot of the publication. Mosseri said that the functionality is intended for “so that you can add your creative socket” to the articles, but the tools are limited enough for the moment. You can only add yellow reflections or arrows and red scratches, although Mosseri said that there would be “more to come” from Meta.
A thread spokesperson confirms that the functionality will work similarly to quote publications in that the original user is informed if someone chooses to mark his message. You can also use the “which can respond and quote” setting to deactivate the increases on your own messages.
The application also manufactures two other features that it is already presented in preview: and. The features will probably be particularly useful for brands, creators and others who manage a professional presence on the site, which has so far lacked many most advanced tools focused on companies than other meta platforms. The two could also be useful if Meta is starting to get started, a decision that would be underway for the beginning of 2025.
