Ademola Lookman retaliated to his own manager of Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini, accusing Atalanta’s boss of making “deeply disrespectful” comments after their release in the Champions League.
Lookman made his return from the injury as a half-time substitute in the match kick in match at the Champions of Atalanta Champions League with Club Brugge. The winger came when they were 5-1 on the aggregates, but only took 36 seconds to withdraw a goal.

The winger missed the kick, Gasperini then calling him “one of the worst penalty takers I have ever seen” after the match.
Responding to these comments, Lookman published the following statement on Wednesday: “It saddens me one day like this to write this declaration – especially because of what we have achieved together as a team and as a city.
“To be distinguished from the way in which I had not only badly, but I feel deeply disrespectful, especially because of the immense work and the commitment that I have always put in every day to help bring success to this club and incredible bergame fans.
“In truth, I have treated many difficult moments of my stay here – the majority I have never talked about because in my opinion, the team must always be protected and must come first. Even more injured last night.
“With our incredible fans, we, as a team, also hurt with the result of last night. During the match, the penalty lessee designated asked me to take the penalty; and support the team, I have taken responsibility for the moment.

“Lookman was not supposed to take this penalty, he is one of the worst sanctions takers I have ever seen,” said Gasperini after the global defeat 5-2.
