A coalition of groups representing elements of the US aviation and aerospace industries sent a letter on Wednesday to support the congress to support efforts to modernize the country traffic control system (ATC) of the country following ‘Burning aviation accidents.
“As representatives of the aviation sector of our country, we are united in our sorrow on recent aviation accidents and our commitment to ensure that accidents like these are no longer happening,” wrote the coalition of groups.
“To maintain an ATC system the best in its category which is globally, it is of our unified objective to work with the US Congress and the administration to find common ground to ensure operational security and the Effectiveness of the National Airspace System (NAS), “They said. “To achieve this, we must support the hiring and training of the air traffic controller, the implementation of the efficiency of purchases and the program and the realignment of the installations, and approach the budget reforms for the fund Airport and airport fiduciary (AATF). “
The groups have added that they “are aligned with the fact of not continuing the privatization of the American air traffic control services and think that it would be a distraction of these necessary investments and reforms.”

The letter from the coalition has listed several priorities for Congress to provide emergency funding for technology and ATC critical infrastructure as well as the granting and training of the controller.
He also asked the congress to provide an orientation to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to carefully yield the elements of the NAS and use new supply methods to deploy advanced technology.
The letter required additional financial mechanisms to effectively use AATF sales to improve safety in the air and in the field, such as multi -year budgeting.

Awareness of the group at the congress comes following the first accident in fatal commercial aviation in more than 15 years. The tragedy took place on January 29 when a regional jet collided with a Black Hawk Army Black helicopter while approaching Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, DC, 67 people combined were killed.
Another incident occurred on Monday at Toronto Pearson International Airport when a regional jet crashed and overturned while landing. There were no deaths in the accident, although 21 travelers were taken to the hospital.
