Alphonso Davies committed its future in Bayern Munich, signing a new contract with the Champions of Bundesliga.
After the announcement of the agreement on Tuesday, he indeed put an end to the prolonged interest of Real Madrid for the Canadian star.
The new contract will keep Davies at Allianz Arena until the end of the 2029-30 season, marking what could be an 11-year term with the club if he considers the full contract.
“I am very happy to have extended my contract in this big club,” said Davies in a statement.
“I came to FC Bayern when I was 18 and I just wanted to learn as much as possible every day to become one of the best in my position. Now, I look forward to five years together. I have already done a lot here, but there is more to come. “”
Davies’ decision to stay a blow to Real Madrid, which wanted to guarantee the 24 -year -old rear left services.

His previous contract was to expire in June 2025, and Madrid hoped to negotiate transfer fees or make it pass for free this summer.
Despite Madrid’s interest, Bayern was determined to keep Davies, offering him an improved contract to obtain his stay in Munich.
“Alphonso Davies has become one of the best players in the world in his post in Bayern and has aroused a lot of interest,” said Bayern sports director Christoph Freund.
“The fact that he wants to continue here with the United States shows Bayern status in international football and that Alphonso has found his sports house in Munich.”
This season, Davies appeared in 16 Bundesliga games under the coach Vincent Kompany, finding the net once helping Bayern maintain its place at the top of the table.
Davies initially joined Bayern Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019 and has since transformed into one of the first left players in the world.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, continues to ask for reinforcements on the left back due to the uncertainties surrounding Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia.
Spanish giants have a story to secure the best talents on free transfers, with recent examples, notably Kylian Mbappe in 2024, Antonio Rudiger in 2022 and David Alaba from Bayern in 2021.
