As part of the revelation of the new assistant Alexa + ai-fooled by AI, the technology giant announced that it launched two new features designed for children entitled “Explore with Alexa” and “Stories with Alexa”. The features, which exploit the new Alexa IA capabilities, will be available for Amazon Kids + subscribers.
The company demonstrated new features during a press event in New York and noted that they are designed to help children explore a fun subject and encourage imaginative thought.
The new explore feature allows children to ask questions like: “Plants can talk to each other”, to which Alexa would answer: “Plants communicate, but not speaking.” Or, they can ask a question like: “A rose is red and grows in buds. True or false?
With stories with Alexa, children can ask the vocal assistant to generate a story based on an prompt. For example, a child can ask Alexa + to “create a story on a bearded dragon who plays a saxophone”.
“Alexa does not only ask to answer a question or tell a story, she unlocks their imagination,” said Mara Segal, director of Amazon for Alexa, during the event. “She is committed with them new ways, by a natural conversation and rich visuals.”
Amazon Kids + costs $ 5.99 per month for Amazon Prime members and $ 7.99 per month for non -prisons. The subscription service gives children access to books, videos, games and applications. It is available for children aged 3 to 12.
