Derek Chisora amazed Otto Wallin with two kicks on the way to a decision-making victory on Saturday in his last fight in the United Kingdom.
Chisora should retire after his next fight, the 50th of his career, and has fought remarkable performance, despite a look cut for half the fight, the three judges marking the fight 117-109, 114-112 and 116 – 110 in the British fighter.
The 41-year-old man is now online in world titles after his fight with Wallin has been upgraded earlier this month at an eliminator of the IBF heavyweight title, which is held by Daniel Dubois who Faces Joseph Parker on February 22, live Sky Sports box office.
“When I arrived, I told myself that I don’t cry but I started to cry like a baby [before the fight]”Said Chisora after the fight.
“I was in tears because I love sport and I like fans. I love everything, the ups and downs.
“It was a very emotional day for me today. It was very difficult. When I had the cup, then something happened in the third round that I did not say to my coaches, my ears broke out and I said I will continue. “
After the fight, the Chisora camp brought three photos in the Ring of Champions of the Dubois heavy goods vehicles and Oleksandr Usyk, as well as Anthony Joshua.
He asked the crowd to choose who he then fought, the spectators of Manchester seeming to applaud the noisiest when the photos of the Usyk and Joshua were selected.
Chisora previously said that he wanted to fight Dillian Whyte or Francis Ngannou in his 50th fight, before retirement, with the fight outside the United Kingdom.
“Whatever want, we will get there. We will sit and get there,” said his promoter Frank Warren.
“He has now won an eliminator for the IBF title, and it’s Daniel Dubois’, so he has this at the bank.
“Whatever he wants, we will do. Tonight, what performance. I can’t tell you how proud I am in the way he fought, Otto too, because it takes two to fight.”
How Chisora amazed Wallin
Chisora produced one of his best victories for the 36 of his 18-year-old career for the Co-Op Live Arena crowd in Manchester.
He came out of the blocks, with large oscillating shots on Wallin’s body in the first towers and landed some big straight hands in the third.
However, an apparent confrontation of heads in the fifth round saw Chisora cut him off. In the sixth, the blood continuously flowed from the eye, so the referee was forced to temporarily stop the fight.
After being checked by the doctors, Chisora did not drop the intensity and sparked several shots on Wallin in the seventh, before an incredible attack in the eighth with around 30 consecutive swings shook his opponent.
He took a look at Wallin with a right hand in the ninth to send the falling Swedish, then tactically attracted him to the corner of the rest of the fight to attract more blows to the body, including another Knockdown in The final round before the start of the bell.
