Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta distinguished Wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri exciting to rent before the next Gunners match against West Ham.
Nwaneri was a revelation for Arsenal this season, playing more football in the first team than many were probably expected to consider that he was only 17 years old.
Nwaneri has now achieved seven goals and a help in 24 appearances for the Arteta team this season, and the Spanish tactician spoke with brilliant from him before the West Ham match.
Having been so impressive during the 2-0 victory at Leicester City last weekend, we imagine that Nwaneri will start again for Arsenal to the Emirates Stadium for the visit of West Ham.
Injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli probably meant that the climb of Nwaneri in the departure XI had to be accelerated, but Arteta is really satisfied with the way the adolescent took the opportunity to show How good it is.
Mikel Arteta surprised by the rapid progress of Ethan Nwaneri
Speaking at his press conference before the Hammers match, Arteta that Nwaneri’s progress had been “probably much faster than what we expected.”
He added: “What is surprising is his confidence and his decision -making, in particular in possession of a ball.
“And the risks he takes, and how careful he is about the situation. I love it to a player, and now he has to do it regularly every three days.
“A player with this talent, we want it very far from this method of reflection – let it express itself, put it in this environment where it can exploit its qualities as often as possible, surrounded by players that correspond to its qualities.
“There are certain tasks in a collective sport that you must be able to do … but you must have the freedom to express your creativity.”
Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly were superb for Arsenal this season, our columnist Charles Watts declaring that they are probably worth 100 million pounds combined.
