THE Cricket control advice in India (BCCI) unveiled the female teams of India for the next tour in England, with five international T20 and three internationals from June 28 to July 28, 2025. The announcement signals India’s intention to align the sides of full resistance in a crucial year for female cricket, with the ODI World Cup at the house and the T20 World Cup in England.
Harmanpreet Kaur takes place to direct India on England Tour
Harmanpreet Kaur will continue as captain in both formats, with Smriti Mandhana serving as vice-captain. The selectors have largely preserved the central group which recently won the tri-series in Sri Lanka, aiming for consistency and experience under difficult English conditions.
The T20I team of 15 members sees the highly anticipated return of the explosive opener Shafali Verma, which has missed the recent ODI missions but remains a key figure in the shortest format. The team also offers established names like Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma and the versatile Sneh Rana. Guardian tasks will be shared between Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia. The young prospects for rhythm Kranti Gaud and Sayali Satghare were rewarded for their recent performances, while Arundhati Reddy and Amanjot Kaur strengthen the sewing attack.
For the ODI series with three games, India has appointed a team of 16 members, keeping most of the T20i nucleus while adding Pratika Rawal and Tejal Rasabnis to strengthen the average order. The department of the Pace will be led by Sayali Satghare, supported by Sree Charani and Kranti Gaud. In particular, Shafali Verma was only included in the T20i squad, reflecting a strategic approach to the specialization of the format.
The fast renuka Singh launcher and the versatile Shreyanka Patil continue to recover from injury and are not available for the tour. Kashvee Gautam, who was excluded from Sri Lanka Tri-Series with a leg injury, also remains away.
