A correctional deputy was shot in the south of Florida on Monday evening in what the authorities describe as a “targeted” attack.
THE The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Bureau said that the deputies had responded to shots in the 1400 block from Northwest Avenue D, Belle Glade, at 7:32 p.m. on Monday.
On the scene, the deputies discovered that the victim was an assistant to the 39 -year -old correctional services.
“Upon their arrival, they found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment,” PBCSO said in a statement.

Limited details were available, but the sheriff’s office said that “this incident was targeted” when the deputy’s death on social networks were announced.
The deputy, whose name has not yet been released, had been with the agency for three years.
