A fugitive on the FBI’s most sought -after 10 list for allegedly killed his wife during their wedding night in Ilelinois over 12 years ago was captured in Mexico, according to FBI Chicago.
Arnoldo Jimenez was placed in police custody without incident Thursday in Monterrey, Mexico, as part of the 2012 death of Estrella Carrera, 26.
On May 13, 2012, Carrera was found dead in the bathtub of her apartment in Burbank, Illinois, less than 48 hours after his marriage to Jimenez.

Jimenez was charged with first degree murder and a state warrant issued for his arrest on May 15, 2012. A federal mandate was issued two days later after Jimenez was federal accused of illegal flight to avoid prosecution.
FBI Chicago, FBI San Antonio, FBI Legat Mexico City and the American district court in the Northern Illinois district collaborated in the investigation to locate Jimenez. The agents of the República fiscal general, in collaboration with the international organization of the criminal police, arrested him.
