The Virginia High School League (VHSL) announced on Monday that its executive committee had voted to bring its league in accordance with President Donald Trump’s executive decree “keep men out of female sports”.
Trump signed the executive decree last Wednesday, filling one of his main campaign promises to hold organic men outside the sports of girls and women.
The order was signed on national girls and women during the sports day, which celebrates women’s athletes in female sports and those who have committed to providing equal access to sports to all women.

The VHSL, which governs secondary sports in the state, will comply with the executive decree in force immediately.
“The VHSL is an association comprising 318 member schools with more than 177,000 students participating each year in sports and university activities. The VHSL is the director organ, and our member schools turn to and count on VHSL for politics and Advice. W. Haun, in a press release.
“Compliance will provide a clear and coherent direction in membership.”

The declaration also noted that the VHSL Executive Committee ordered the personnel to immediately propose changes in policy in the form of emergency legislation to comply with the decree. The language will be adjusted soon in its political manual.
“It should not be long. Everything is common sense,” said Trump before signing order last week, adding that “female sports will only be for women”.
“The war against female sports is over,” he said.
Since Trump signed the Order, NCAA has also officially prohibited Trans athletes from participating in female sports. Their announcement one day came after the signing, a quick response for the college director.
“A student-athlete assigned to birth may not compete in a female team,” said the new policy. Policy allows biological women to compete in male sports.
“NCAA is an organization made up of 1,100 colleges and universities in the 50 states which collectively register more than 530,000 students-athletes,” said NCAA president Charlie Baker, in a statement. “We firmly believe that clear, coherent and uniform eligibility standards would best serve students-athletes today instead of a patchwork of conflictual laws and decisions. To this end, the order of President Trump provides a clear national standard. “

The white house press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a briefing before Trump signed the executive decree that he “maintains the promise of title IX”.
“President Trump is committed to restoring common sense in our country, and he continues to deliver this executive decree which he will sign later in the day,” she added. “The president will sign a decree, keeping men away from female sports to defend the security of athletes, protect competitive integrity and maintain the promise of title IX.”
Leavitt also called on the Senate to adopt the law on the protection of women and girls, which the Chamber sent last month. The bill would prohibit biological men from participating in the school sports teams while modifying federal law to specify that athlete students must participate in school sports that coincide with their birth sex.
