Barcelona returned to the top of the Liga Sunday evening after coming from behind in a six -goals thriller against Atletico Madrid, with a decisive strike from Lamine Yamal downtime.
Only one point separated the games before kick -off in the Spanish capital, Real Madrid having moved in first place 24 hours earlier with the victory in their match against Villarreal.
Atletico drew the first blood at the end of the first half thanks to Julian Alvarez, quickly putting his shooting session in the hard Champions League behind him.
Diego Simeone then went 2-0 when Alexander Sorho scored a second with only 20 minutes to play, which pointed out to a result that would have given Atletico among her. But things collapsed quickly and unusually when Barcelona then scored four without response.
Robert Lewandowski rolled the ball when he pulled just two minutes after the goal of Sorlow. Six minutes later, Ferran Torres started near the scope to draw the level of Barcelona and set up a platform that could have huge implications in May.
In the stop time, Yamal found a master stroke, jumping in the inner field in front of a tackle attempt before releaseing a curling of 25 meters in the upper corner.
There was still time for Barça to add a stamp, Raphinha putting pressure on Atletico to give the ball away from a return to their own half, opening the track to recover the ball and drive a low shot in front Jan Oblak just outside.
Barcelona has now won seven consecutive Liga. They are level on points with Real Madrid, but sit at the top thanks to a higher head to head at the 4-0 of October victory in Bernabeu, and also have a match still in their Arsenal.
