Santa Fe, NM – Santa Fe fire chief, Brian Moya, shares his opinion on the moment when Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa died on February 26.
Moya told Fox News Digital: “Just because the two bodies were in a similar way where we, as experts, sad to say that we know a lot about how people die and how long people are dead – the two bodies are in a similar way that it could be a similar delay.”
Although Moya was not a first speaker of the 911 call at Hackman’s home, it was said that the property extended more than 9,000 square feet and included three structures.

The chief of the firefighters explained that his paramedic told him once he had returned from the Hackman residence that Gene, Betsy and their dog – which were later identified as Zinna – were found in the “same building”. According to Moya, the property had three separate structures.

According to Moya, the Santa Fe fire service was involved for the last time in the investigation on Thursday, February 27, and the case is in the hands of the Sheriff department at this stage.
The circumstances surrounding the death of Hackman and Arakawa remain a mystery for Santa Fe, in New Mexico, the authorities while they work behind and bring together evidence to understand how the couple is dead.

New Mexico officials I found Hackman, Arakawa and one of their dogs who died at home a week ago. The detectives have described their death as “sufficiently suspected of nature to require in -depth research and investigation”, according to an affidavit of the search mandate obtained by Fox News Digital.
Hackman and Arakawa were found by maintenance workers Jesse Kesler and Roland Lowe Begay. Kesler, who worked as a personal entrepreneur for the couple for 16 years, called on the French 911 on February 26.
The detectives recovered two mobile phones, an orange prescription bottle and a 2025 planner while inspecting the residence, said the postage of the search mandate.

The officials also revealed that Arakawa’s body had been found decomposed with bloating on his face and mummification in his hands and feet. According to the affidavit of the search mandate, the deceased dog was found “10-15 feet” of Arakawa in a bathroom closet.

Hackman has also proven to have the same signs of decomposition as his wife. According to the affidavit of the search mandate, the deputy Thomas suspected Hackman was “suddenly fallen” at the time of his death.

Recently, the sheriffs confirmed a misconduct in the investigation after having wrongly identified the dog found dead in the Hackman house.

Zinna, a mixed breed, was found in a kennel in a bathroom closet near Arakawa. However, the investigators initially noted the discovery of a “deceased brown color German canine, “ the search warrant indicated.
Santi Fe Sheriff’s Sheriff’s Office of Sheriff Denise Womack-Avila, admitted that the deputies initially poorly identified the breed of the deceased dog.

“Our deputies, they do not work daily with dogs,” she said, according to the Associated Press.
Arakawa and Hackman had two German shepherds: Bear, 4, and Nikita, 7.
