Rasmus Hojlund once again cut a frustrated silhouette during the confrontation of the FA Cup of Manchester United with Fulham at Old Trafford.
The struggles of the Danish striker this season have been well documented, first under Erik Ten Hag and now Ruben Amorim. With only seven goals in 34 appearances, his return was disappointing – especially in the Premier League, where he only managed two goals in 22 games.
Five of his goals came to the Europa League, offering little consolation while the Red Devils continue to vacillate at the national level, only this time in FA Cup where they eliminated Fulham competition in penalties after a 1-1 draw.
At 22, Hojlund seems to be trust and always rough on the technically edges. He would massively benefit from playing alongside an experienced attacker, but for Amorim, this kind of luxury is not on the table because he has trouble setting up a competitive starting eleven, and even less to make tactical adjustments to support his new refresh number.

Manchester United has huge problems from the start while Ruben Amorim turns to young people
Hojlund’s problems were bare by Chido Obi-Martin against Fulham. The data compiled by Statmandave suggest that the former youth player of Arsenal managed to end up in positions where a great chance was made.
This contrasts strongly with Hojlund’s spatial conscience, the Danish corresponding to the same amount, but doing it in 22 Premier League games.
And online fans believe that this could be where Hojlund is mistaken in Man United – while Obi -Martin manages to end up in good places to receive the ball, Hojlund did not show that he has this same quality.
Chido Obi had 3 big chance in 52 minutes today. By comparison, Rasmus Højlund had 3 big chances in 22 Premier League matches this season.

Consciousness and positioning are so essential. Constantly moving between players in the background line and finding gaps rather than hand fighting. I did much better than I thought already.

Defenders find it difficult to manage Chido than Hojlund. Enough evidence to suggest it now. Chido’s game is incredibly raw, a lot of work to do with it, but it occupies at least and disturbs the four.

Obviously, this is conditioned by him that comes out of the bench, but it is remarkable to what extent the presence of Chido Obi compared to Hojlund.
Appropriate striker.

After the match, Amorim was invited by the journalists if he planned to make a change in advance for Man United.
He replied: “Anything can happen in the next games. We must see the opposition, feel the moment of the player physically, because we play a lot of games. »»
