Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas recently went to Reddit to Send the complaints of user products and reassure them that the company is not subject to serious financial pressure.
Srinivas seemed to react, partly to User theory that the company “is horribly financially” and “brings a lot of changes to reduce costs”. For example, the theorist indicated the auto mode of Perplexity, where the AI search engine automatically selects the model to respond to the prompt of a user.
On the contrary, Srinivas said that Perplexity had created the auto mode because “all AI products are currently shipped and add a ton of pimples and drop -down and footprints”, which, according to him, is “not durable”.
“The user should not have to learn so much to use a product,” he said.
As for whether perplexity is confronted with pressure to reduce costs or an IPO, Srinivas said: “We have all the funding we have collected, and our income is only growing.” In fact, he said that the company had “no Ipoing plan before 2028”.
