A Delta Air Lines flight from Boston reversed the course after a “smoked smell” was detected Sunday in its cabin.
Flight 1398, which left Logan international airport at 8:55 a.m. on Sunday morning, was to land in New Orleans at noon before overthrowing the course.
The Airbus A220 plane transported 87 customers, plus three on -board agents and two drivers. He landed in Beantown around 9:35 am
A Delta spokesman told Fox News that the plane had declared an emergency to obtain a priority landing for air traffic control, and that the emergency intervention staff had met the plane on the track. The plane reached its door safely and all the passengers continued their trips.

“The flight of Delta 1398 returned to Boston shortly after takeoff after a smoked odor was detected in the cabin,” the statement said. “Our driving team has followed established procedures and returned to Boston safely. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay in their travels.”
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also published a declaration on the incident.
“The Delta Air Lines flight 1398 returned safely at Boston Logan International Airport around 9:35 a.m. on Sunday, March 2, after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and the cabin,” the government agency said. “The Airbus 220 was heading for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The FAA INVESTRA. Please contact the airline for more information.”

The incident comes less than two weeks after Delta Connection Flight 4819 crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson airport on February 17. No passengers died, but the jet CRJ-900 overturned on the track, and many injuries were reported.

In another incident linked to the Delta last month, a delta flight was diverted to Los Angeles after smoke was detected in the kitchen.
