Choosing a favorite monologue from the first season of “Andor” is like selecting a favorite episode from the original trilogy. It is a difficult choice, since several of the monologues of season 1 “Andor” were among the greatest of all time in the “Star Wars” universe. From the admission of Luthen (Stellan Skarsgård) of sharing his dreams with ghosts to the manifesto of Nemik (Alex Lawther) declaring the Empire a non-natural thing, speeches littered through Tony Gilroy’s television on television to “Rogue One” “contained moments of trunk-cuffing that made you feel in the Empire. Andor (Fiona Shaw) to fight them beyond the grave which has become really legendary.

His warning of an injury in the center of the galaxy now boasts 2.6 million views on the Star Wars YouTube accountAnd frankly, we are surprised that the number is not higher. We would not blame you, then, that during the episode of this week, you felt that your hair was sticking while his words seemed to resonate through a secret meeting of Ghorman and an animated exchange involving two participants. While Syril Karn (Kyle Soller) is making his way through the clandestine event, Lezine (Thierry Godard) is seen by shouting on the external presence of the Empire and the impact he has. “And then, at night, when we try to sleep, when we try to forget, our city is destroyed,” we hear it cry, almost reflecting words pronounced by Maarva in season 1: “The Empire is a disease that prosperous in darkness. It is never more alive than when we sleep.” This rehearsal suggests that the story is about to repeat itself at a pivotal moment in the “Star Wars” tradition.

The rebellion continues to wake up in season 2 and season 2
As it stands, the rebellion is in its infancy. We know that after the first trio of episodes that marked the return of the show, it is already sneaky reintroduced Yavin 4, one of the most important “Star Wars” locations and the rebels’ operations base in the future. We are still a few ways of what is entirely constructed, but it is another sign that, while the scope of the Empire continues to stretch and infect the areas it wishes to overtake, it is confronted with pockets of resistance which could be detached from each other but which are still formed. Knowing how the events of “A New Hope” take place, it is only a matter of time before these groups unite and do exactly what Maarva was always afraid of hoping.

What will be interesting to see is that Ghorman introduces the most terrifying part of “Star Wars” that we have ever seen, how (if necessary) of these agitated inhabitants will make themselves alive of the apparently imminent decimation of the planet. Those who stay will they have enough fight in them to retaliate to the Empire in a way that the bad guys had not predicted? All the future hidden bases, the stolen construction plans and the son of a Sith Lord indicate that they will do so, but we will have to wait and see how everything is played as “Andor”, season 2 continues on Disney +.
