“As a person living in Japan, I naturally worry about the short -term impact [of tariffs] On our economy, especially since we have already endured decades of stagnation, tax increases and global instability … But, in the long term, I believe that a strong America is in the national interest of Japan, “she said.
Ishii is particularly concerned about the potential impact on small and medium -sized enterprises in Japan, which explain the majority of companies in the country.
