Elon Musk says he hopes for a future where prices are no longer necessary in the United States and Europe.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) announced on Saturday his intention to suspend the expeditions of its British manufacturing vehicles to the United States for a month because it includes the implications of a 25% rate imposed by President Donald Trump.
India Tata Motors has JLR and the company confirmed its temporary break with Reuters.
“While we work to resolve new commercial terms with our business partners, we take short -term actions, including a shipping break in April, while we are developing our medium -term plans,” said JLR.
The automotive industry in the United Kingdom employs around 200,000 people, although the industry has become very exposed to the new Trump prices.

JLR did not immediately respond to Fox Business’s request for comments on the break.
The United States is the second largest importer of British manufacturing vehicles after the European Union, the wire reported.
As one of the largest producers in the United Kingdom in volume, JLR said in its declaration that the United States was an important market for its luxury brands.

JLR sells 400,000 defenders, Range Rover Sports and other models each year, although exports to the United States represent approximately a quarter of business sales.
Trump unveiled his last price plan on April 2, imposing a 25% rate on imported cars and trucks, which entered into force the next day. Trump has also announced prices on other goods from countries around the world, not just imported vehicles.
The Trump administration’s pricing plan has leveled a basic tariff of 10% on all imports in the United States, while personalized prices were fixed for countries that have higher prices on American products. The basic tariffs of 10% entered into force on Saturday, while the other prices will take effect on April 9.

Trump underlined the European Union when it was announced and said the United States would charge the EU a tariff of 20% compared to its 39% tariffs on American Japan will see 24% of the prices, compared to the 46% that the country invoices in the United States, while
Personalized prices, said Trump, would not be complete reciprocal prices, because his administration was “very kind” and leveled prices which represent about half of what a particular nation billed in the United States on prices.
“For the nations that treat us badly, we will calculate the combined rate of all their prices, non -monetary barriers and other forms of cheating,” said Trump on Wednesday.

“And because we are very nice, we will charge them about half of what they are and billed us,” he said. “So, the prices will not be a full reciprocal. I could have done it, yes, but it would have been difficult for many countries.”
