Honorable mentions
Cariloha retirement bamboo leaves for $ 339:: These leaves are super soft and silky and use the Lyocell fabric to be more durable. They are a softness similar to the cheaper leaves of the brand, but if you want to give priority to ecological sheets, Lyocell is a good option (but not a perfect carbon neutral solution). I also really like the straps included, but you can find those on cheaper sets like the luxury sheets that I recommend above.
Ettitude Airy Sateen + sheets for $ 449:: These leaves are incredibly soft and use a combination of Lyocell in bamboo and Bamboo “Biochar” To make them antifungal and resistant to odor. They ran a little hot for my taste, but if you are looking for something to keep smells and mushrooms away, it could be madness for you.
Honeydew leaves for $ 230:: These sheets felt a little stiff at first, but softened a pile after washing. They are also delivered with a security strap, so they are a good option for larger mattresses. The only drawback is that they are only available in two colors, but if you want white or a pretty dark gray, you’re lucky.
My sheets turn the regulator sheet for $ 199:: These leaves are super soft. They promise to regulate your temperature, but I found myself waking up a little too hot certain nights. If you are not a hot sleeper, these are overall and comfortable leaves on which sleep.
Pom Pom At Maison Bamboo Sateen Fiett for $ 368:: These are superb bamboo leaves, but for the price, we were more impressed by the others that we tested.
Bamboo package in linen quince for $ 255: This set would have been a choice if it was always available. It is a fantastic combination of linen and bamboo that obtains the best of both worlds: the sweetness and the cool bamboo touch with the structure and the air flow of linen. It is an excellent choice for hot sleepers – if it resurfaces, buy it!
Sunday citizen bamboo leaf for $ 145:: Louryn Stramp’s wired criticism found that these leaves were super soft and fantastic for sleeping. But even with the deep pockets claimed, they tended to get out of its mattress, and our first choice is cheaper with straps that will avoid this problem.

What types of bamboo are there?
There are a few different terms that you might see during the description of the bamboo fibers which constitute a set of bamboo sheets. Bamboo is not naturally a soft fiber, so it passes a hard chemical process to decompose it and transform it into fibers which can be woven into leaves. Each different name allows you to know what type of process has been used and what type of chemicals (and offbeat chemicals) was involved.
Bamboo And Bamboo viscose are sometimes used interchangeably, although they should not be because they are not exactly the same. The radiation is probably a term that you have seen before, because it is a general term used for the fabric made from regenerated cellulose. Bamboo Generally suggests that it is semi-synthetic and may not be 100% bamboo. In the meantime, Bamboo viscose Also uses bamboo cellulose as a base, although it has a slightly different process. Viscose is another type that is not limited to bamboo. About all the leaves I tested claim to be 100% bamboo viscose.
Lyocell in bamboo is the best of the three, because Lyocell has a closed loop process, which means that almost all the chemicals used to have more Lyocell reused rather than spilled. Lyocell is a fantastic quality fabric that makes an excellent cooling sheet, so it’s a term to search if you want to stay cool while you sleep.
Do bamboo leaves cool?
While the bamboo is absolutely cool to the touch when you go up for the first time in the bed, I often find that the bamboo bed sheets can warm up a bit throughout the night. Some companies claim that bamboo fibers can help regulate your temperature and eliminate humidity. As a hot sleeper, I did not find this true with each set of bamboo leaves. Some have too heavy weaving to keep me cool on hot nights, because no amount of promised moisture shift can replace a good flow of air to keep you cool. There are a few sets of bamboo bed sheets that I recommend below which keep me cooler than the others, but I recommend visiting our guide for best cooling sheets if you want to consider all kinds of bed sheets that could keep you cool, bamboo with percas cotton and even sheets with phase material (or PCM) mixed.
Is the number of sons important?
Bamboo leaves have a number of wires, as are cotton leaves, describing how many wires are in a square inch of the fabric. You do not want too many threads – everything that is more than 800 is purely in marketing, and higher wire counts can mean shorter and lower quality fibers. It is better to have fewer fibers that are longer and stronger.
Bamboo transformed into radiation, viscose and Lyocell can be manipulated in a long wire more easily than cotton, of course, we have not seen the number of crazy wire more listed on bamboo leaves. Many of these leaves are also a wicking by Sateen, which is a style of three against one, leading him to feel softer but not as breathable. It is not always as simple as Sateen will be hot, of course; Our favorite and etitude cooling bamboo sheets have a weaving by Sateen, so it depends on several factors.
The point to take? Don’t worry about the number of threads. Focus on the type of weaving and criticism (like ours!) To have a better idea of knowing if a set of bamboo sheets (or any other type of sheet) will meet your sleep needs.
How I test bamboo leaves
Photography: Nena Farrell
For our bamboo sheet guide, I compared our night and side by side choices for softness, cooling properties and price. Each set of sheets was slept between two and seven nights, depending on the way it worked, and was washed several times to check the design defects or defects. I am a hot sleeper living in southern California, with my room on the third floor of my house, so it was easy to discover if the sheets cannot keep me cool overnight. I also examined the quality of each sheet in reference to the price to see in which sets of sheets were really worth investing after having tested each.
