Your goal is to find hidden words that match the theme of the puzzle. If you are stuck, find the words you can. Whenever you find three words of four or more letters, the strands reveal one of the theme words. These are the words I used to obtain these clues, but the words of four letters or more that you find will work:
- Rule, slur, shoo, shaving, sterling, blood, slog, loon, long, tang, heart, zany, nanny, have, sear, give, vase.

These are the answers that are linked to the theme. The goal of the puzzle is to find them all, including the spangram, a theme word that works on one side of the puzzle to the other. When you have them all (I originally thought there was always eight but that the number can vary), each letter in the table will be used. Here are the nonspangram answers:
- Seer, luxury, sumptuous, decorated, elegant, extravagant

Le Puzzle des Brins Nyt completed for May 8, 2025, # 431.
The strands of today Spangram are oohshiny. To find it, start with the O which has four letters on the right on the upper row and go down directly! I don’t think I have never seen a spangram that has already followed a completely straight line!
Most difficult strands
Here are some of the subjects of the strands that I have found the most difficult in recent weeks.
# 1: dated slang, January 21. Maybe you didn’t even use this jargon when it was cool. The most difficult word: Phat.
# 2: Thar she blows! January 15. I guess marine biologists could suck this one. The most difficult word: Baleen or on the right.
# 3: Off the Hook, January 9. Similar to the puzzle of January 15 in that it helps to know a lot about marine creatures. Sorry, Charlie. The most difficult word: bigeye or skipjack
