We are in the interlude between Kentucky Derby and Preakness.
The sovereignty of the winner of the derby will not work in the Preakness to come in Baltimore.
But the republicans of the house do not jump by trying to finish the big and beautiful bill. And if it was a horse race, the president of the Mike Johnson room, R-La., Dares the Pony players to bet against the republicans of the house with regard to things.
“Stop doubting us. We are going to do this job,” said Johnson about the plan to renew tax reductions and typing expenses.
Republicans compete for Trump’s spending plan, because exercise 2026 is looming: “ Stay until we exceed it ”

The republicans of the house are not exactly young girls here. But the morning line could suggest that the republicans of the house should lose in this competition.
Like the triple crown, there are three stages to this legislative tournament. And the Republicans are now at the last stage of a legislative trifecta.
It was a photo completed in February when the House Republicans barely adopted the framework of the tax reduction and the expense reduction measure. The management of the GOP of the Chamber seemed to make the vote a late scratch – with members fleeing the Capitol, to make them recall in the Chamber of the Chamber a few moments later. Republican brass leadership has reinforced the support of the plan and the chamber adopted it.
It was a rehearsal in April when the republicans of the room tried to align with the Senate on their version of the plan. The Republicans managed to lug the frame through the finish line by a nose, 216-214. Flip one votes and this would have produced equality. A equal vote would have sent the big and beautiful bill to a large and beautiful pasture.
The Republicans of the Chamber were only within the framework of the money on the Senate after the Conservatives obtained certain commitments from the head of the majority of the Senate John Thune, RS.D., that the senators would make reductions in substantial spending.
But when it comes to finishing this version of the bill, the Republicans of the House are barely a spell in the race.
A debate rages on what the Republicans should approach in the bill. The passage depends on what is or outside.
“Everyone will have to give, including the supply of salt,” said representative Ralph Norman, RS.C., referring to a potential deduction for state and local taxes, known as salt. “There is a happy medium that will have to be met to get the cuts.”
Moderate republicans of high tax states like New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey will require the deduction to guarantee their votes for the entire plan. Norman noted that “each individual state should have pain” before it goes to the finish line.
“We are going to find the point of balance on the salt which no one will be completely delighted,” said Johnson. “But that will resolve the equation and we will do it.”

“We are in a very good place because it does not only relate to the deduction of salt,” said representative Nicole Malliotakis, Rn.Y. “, People like those I represent at Staten Island and Brooklyn desperately need this recovery because our mayor and our governor keep us head with high taxes.”
There are also articles that President Trump insists that legislators are entering the bill.
“No tax on advice. No tax on overtime,” said the head of the majority in the Steve Scalie Chamber, R-La.
But the most difficult decisions of all changes – or cuts – to law programs. The Republicans have banned the idea that they could save up to $ 550 billion in waste and Medicaid fraud for a decade. But there is evidence that this figure is significantly lower. Republicans do not agree.
“Some of the information we have discovered would indicate that (the inappropriate character) is much higher,” said Johnson. “We will try to eliminate this. And I think we owe taxpayers.”
But democrats do not buy that.

“They lie to the American people,” said Hakeem Jeffries, the chief of the room, Dn.y.
Democrats argue that Republicans could cook books to cover the cost of tax reductions and consolidate the possible holes of the deficit.
“They will catch up with the figures they want,” said representative Frank Pallone, DN.J., the Democratic Energy and Trade Committee. “They know that they cannot reach these figures.”
An article expected in the bill: a major increase in the debt ceiling.
“When is the date x?” Asked the representative Steve Womack, R-Ark., From the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent during a household appliance audience.
The “date X” refers to the time when the federal government exhausts its ability to cover its obligations.
“As aerobatic that takes place for a fly ball, we are on the warning track. When you are on the warning track, this means that the wall is not so far,” replied.
Or, climbs on the lateral rail.
But Bessent added that the government “will not make a defect”.

The legislators have toasted members of the cabinet on the cup departments during the hearings this week. This was the case when the secretary of veterans Doug Collins appeared before a panel of the Senate.
“You adopt an approach to meat cleaver. There is this old adage. Measure twice. Cut once. You have cut without measuring,” said Senator Maggie Hassan, DN.H.
“I have not cut anything yet,” replied Collins.
The secretary added that there was an “objective” to restructure his department and reduce a large number of jobs.
“Do you want to reach your goal or not?” Hassan asked.
“The objective is not a fact,” replied Collins.
The Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, also found himself testifying to the efforts to reduce her department in front of another panel in the Senate. She conceded that the slimming government is difficult.
“Have we done perfectly? No. Any type of change of scale and big efforts to essentially realign an entire government agency is difficult,” said Rollins.
Democrats warn that the Republicans will correct the day they approve deep cuts.

“Each republican who votes for reconciliation and bad budgets will remain by holding this hot potato,” said the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, “Dn.y.
A conservative of the senior room told Fox that they thought that making the bill would pass would be “easy” compared to the other two laps. Another conservative and a moderate republican argued that it would be more difficult. Much more difficult.
The best players know that it is better to stop when you are in advance. The House Republicans managed to win the victories during the first two laps. An argument is that they have momentum. The horse’s sense would tell you that the chances are against them.
But it’s Capitol Hill. And you never know how things will happen.
Mike Johnson and the Republicans have no other choice. They promised to the public that they would adopt the bill. President Trump is waiting for it. There are no other options.
The rhythm is all in the rhythm. A good jockey knows how to coax an explosion of energy from their horse in the right minute. When to give them the whip.

Then the crowd roars. The hooves are thunderous. Mud and dirt fly. The commissioners look.
Johnson maintains that the house is not out of pace with its goal of passing the package through the Memorial Day. But the Republicans try to adopt a very complex bill with a tiny majority. It’s like running on a sloppy track. Republicans soon made the Homestretch.
The next few weeks will be a wild ride.
