If Rodrygo becomes really available this summer, it would be crazy for Arsenal not to explore the possibility of signing the Brazilian.
I saw suggestions in Spain that Arsenal pushes the hardest to land the Real Madrid winger, but it is not something that I heard at this stage.
But one might think that the club should consider the opportunity, if Real Madrid said that it would be open for the sale of 24 years.
It would be one of those market opportunities that appears unexpectedly that you should look, especially if you are already on the market for a new wide attacker.
Roddrygo’s file speaks for itself. He is an excellent player and is not 25 years old until the beginning of next year. It is the exact type of profile that Arsenal loves.
Rodrygo is transferred to be too expensive for Arsenal?
The problem I see with this potential decision, however, is the price.
If Madrid decides to let Rodrygo go, and as far as I know, it has not yet been decided, they would ask a lot of money for the winger. You expect at least something around the brand of 80 million pounds sterling.
And in summer when Arsenal must do a lot of important cases, this kind of spending seems a bit improbable to me.
They are already ready to commit a shade of more than 50 million pounds sterling to sign Martin Zubimendi and who the new striker is the end of the signature will cost a little more than that.
So, it is already much more than 100 million pounds sterling spent on two players with a new winger, a goalkeeper and a defender to be always signed.
Arsenal could find someone cheaper than Rodrygo
It just makes me feel that Rodrygo could be a step too far since the costs that Madrid would demand.
You could get Nico Williams – A player we know Mikel Arteta would love to bring to Arsenal – for around 30 million pounds less. It is a huge amount and even if Williams would fill large wages, the same could be said of Rodrygo.
So we will have to wait and see how things progress in the coming weeks.
It would certainly be an exciting signature, but I guess that it would take a high -level summer departure to make it possible.
