Billionaire Elon Musk explained why he is passionate about the work carried out by the Ministry of Government efficiency (DOGE) to reduce federal spending, saying that it is necessary to prevent the country from going bankrupt.
Musk was requested during an appearance on “Hannity” by Fox News Why discounts of spending and the elimination of fraud, waste and alleged abuses are necessary to consolidate the finances of the United States government.
“Waste and government fraud is so high that it causes an annual deficit of 2 dollars, which represents $ 2,000 billion in waste and fraud that occur,” Musk said. “The cost of our debt has become so high that payments of interest on debt exceed the entire military budget, and it was only to grow.”
“The country goes bankrupt. A country is not different from a person. If a country spends too much and does not pass judiciously, just like a person, a country will go bankrupt,” he said.

“So, the reason I am here is because I am very worried that the country becomes bankrupt due to corruption and waste. And if we do not do something, the America ship will flow. And we are all on this ship,” Musk said.
He then said that Americans who have wealth or control companies should support Doge’s efforts, because if the country went bankrupt, these companies would no longer exist.
“This can be a message for, you know, that people who are rich, have a lot of means or control companies – it’s like, remember, we are all on the American ship here.

The federal government manages an annual budget deficit of nearly 2 dollars of dollars which is mainly trained by the increase in spending in social security and medicare due to the aging of the American population, as well as high interest expenses caused by growing national debt and high interest rates.
Last year, federal expenses for the national debt service exceeded the size of the Ministry of Defense’s budget for the first time.
Musk’s work with DOGE stimulated the manifestations of adversaries who in some cases targeted Tesla, the automaker of which he is the CEO. These incidents have presented cases of vandalism targeting the owners of Tesla individual, as well as the dealerships and the charging stations of the electric vehicle manufacturer.

One of these incidents occurred in Las Vegas in the early hours of Tuesday morning when several vehicles in a Tesla service center were burnt down. Five vehicles were damaged, the two of which were burnt down, and the FBI said that the incident “certainly had certain characteristics” of a terrorist attack, but that it was still too early to say it with certainty.
Musk said in an article on his X social media platform that “this level of violence is crazy and deeply false. Tesla just makes electric cars and did nothing to deserve these bad attacks.”
