The billionaire and CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov, revealed Thursday that he planned to make “no difference” between his more than 100 children with regard to who will inherit his fortune of $ 14 billion. Many of these children came from anonymous sperm donations.
The founder of the messaging application spoke to the French magazine Le Point About several subjects, including his arrest in 2024. During the interview, Durov pointed out that the family was deeply important for him and that, despite only 40 years, he had already started to write his will.
“I decided that my children would not have access to my fortune until a period of 30 years has passed, from today,” said Durov. “I want them to live like normal people, build themselves, to learn to trust each other, to be able to create, not to depend on a bank account.”

He added: “I want to specify that I do not make any difference between my children: there are those who have been designed naturally and those who come from my sperm donations. They are all my children and will all have the same rights! I don’t want them to tear themselves away after my death.”
Durov said so much that he officially had six children from three different partners, but added that he had generated more than 100 babies in 12 different countries through his sperm clinic.
According to the Bloomberg billionaires indexDurov has a net value of $ 13.9 billion on June 19.
He said he was still planning to protect his children and his business for his values.
“My work involves risks – the defense of freedoms reports many enemies, including in powerful states. I want to protect my children, but also the society I have created, Telegram. I want Telegram to remain faithful to the values I defend,” said Durov.

In the interview, he underlined the “duty of neutrality” of his application with regard to political questions such as war in Ukraine and his desire to “fight for fair access to free and independent information”.
“Telegram is a platform where opposite ideas can compete, where everyone can access different points of view and decide freely from what they want to believe,” said Durov.
Durov was arrested in Paris In August on allegations according to which the telegram was used for illicit activity such as drug trafficking and the distribution of sexual children’s abuse, according to the Associated Press.
