European Foreign Ministers have urged Iran to resume negotiations with the administration of Donald Trump to ensure that the United States does not join the War of Israel against the Islamic Republic.

One person informed Friday negotiations in Geneva said that French, German, German and British ministers warned his Iranian counterpart that Tehran could have to give up their red line refusing to negotiate with Washington under the Israeli attack to “prevent the United States from joining the operation”.

“Israel and the United States have agreed with our position that peace can only be achieved by diplomacy,” said the person. “However, we said [the Iranians] that American military intervention is something that is really planned at the moment. »»

The person added that “we sent them back to think very carefully about their red line”.

Negotiations – The first direct contact between Western and Iranian officials since Israel launched its attack a week ago – were detained one day after the White House said that Trump decides “in the next two weeks” if Washington will enter the war.

The American president said after the European-Iranian talks that he would not ask Israel to stop his air strikes on Iran to accelerate negotiations for a nuclear agreement with Tehran and avoid the involvement of Washington in the war.

He also seemed to criticize Europe’s mediation efforts. “Iran does not want to speak to Europe, they want to talk to us,” he said after landing in New Jersey. “Europe will not be able to help you.”

European ministers-David Lammy of the United Kingdom, German of Johann Wadephul and Jean-No-Noël Barrot de France-said that after the talks, they shared their “serious concerns” concerning climbing in the Middle East, adding that “all parties should refrain from taking measures that lead to an additional escalation”.

Tehran had organized indirect talks with the United States on its vast nuclear program. But Israel’s decision to launch a large -scale attack on the Islamic Republic last week upset these diplomatic efforts, 48 hours before the sixth cycle of negotiations.

Iran has since insisted that it would not negotiate with the United States under fire.

After the talks in Geneva, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi, said that Tehran was “ready to consider diplomacy once again, once the attack is arrested and that the attacker is held responsible for the crimes committed”.

He added that “the defense capacities of the Islamic Republic were not negotiable”, but said that Tehran had supported continuous discussions with European countries.

While the talks took place on Friday, the military leader of Israel, the lieutenant-general Eyal Zamir, told soldiers “the campaign is not over” despite strikes that targeted Iran’s nuclear sites, the missile launch capacities and have killed many of his military commanders.

“We have embarked on the most complex campaign in our history to remove a threat of such magnitude, against such an enemy, we must be ready for an prolonged campaign,” said Zamir.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has always opposed Western diplomatic efforts, promised to maintain the assault on Iran as much as necessary to destroy the nuclear program and the missile capacities of Tehran. Iran has maintained its uranium enrichment is part of a peaceful energy program.

Before the talks, Emmanuel Macron, president of France, said that European countries had prepared a “full negotiation offer”.

But in a sign of the challenges that diplomatic boosts face, Macron said that negotiations should evolve towards zero uranium enrichment, which Iranian officials also insisted to be a red line.

The French president said that talks would also include the limitation of Iranian missile activity and the financing of terrorist groups.

The position means that the European position is now closer than before Trump, who called for the complete dismantling of the Iranian nuclear program. France, Germany and the United Kingdom are signatories of the 2015 nuclear agreement that Tehran signed with world powers, which Trump abandoned in his first presidential mandate.

Israel and Iran continued to exchange shots on Friday, the Israeli strikes striking the west of Tehran. The Islamic Republic pulled 20 missiles in Israel which targeted the northern port city of Haifa and the central parties of the nation, according to Israeli authorities, but there was no death report.

On Friday, the leader of the UN atomic guard dog warned Israel’s attack on Iranian nuclear sites caused a “strong degradation of nuclear security and security in Iran”.

Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said that although strikes have “so far been led to radiological release affecting the public, there is a danger that this could happen.”

Israel has targeted Natanz, one of the two Iranian sites in the center of the nuclear dispute, causing damage to its underground installations.

But Grossi said that the level of radioactivity outside Natanz, in the center of Iran, “remained unchanged and at normal levels, not informing any external radiological impact on the population or the environment”.

He said that the IAEA was not aware of any damage on the Iranian Ford-Form site, which is buried deep under a mountain and where the country enriches uranium near the quality of weapons.

Analysts say it is unlikely that Israel would have the military capacity to destroy Fordow without the intervention of the United States.
