Accenture takes action to put an end to its global objectives of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the midst of changes in the American political and legal landscape, according to an internal note examined by Fox Business.
The Global Information Technologies (IT) and management consulting firm declared Thursday in a service note from the CEO Julie Sweet to employees that it “sunting” its diversity objectives that it established in 2017, which had been widely affected, while the Targets will no longer be used to assess staff performance. Accenture’s announcement comes when several large companies have abandoned or revised DEI policies in the past year.
Amazon, Facebook Parent Meta, Google, McDonald’s, Boeing, Molson Coors, Lowe’s, Harley-Davidson, Deere, Apple, Target, Vanguard and Plus have all announced changes in diversity objectives and policies since 2024.
