And in a new interview on The Daily Show with JJ Chalmers,, Who fell on Friday February 14, the Duke of Sussex explained why he thought that the event is just as important as ever 11 years after his beginnings.
“By its appearance, there will always be a need for these games,” said Harry, 40, at the host Chalmers. “It was naive to suppose – or hope – that the games would not be necessary for nothing more than perhaps these three years to help everyone in the back of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
The event continued to grow since its first iteration in March 2014, which presented around 400 competitors of 13 nations. In 2025, up to 550 people from more than 20 countries that participated in the Invictus Games, which are held in Vancouver and Whistler from February 8 to 16.
“I think that now that we have reached 23 nations, inevitably, even if you have just five percent of these competing countries in a form of conflict, you will continue to … you will continue to need the games”. explained Harry.
The Duke added that his greatest concern is to maintain the momentum and continue to help soldiers and women once the physical event is over.

Harry, who served in the British armed forces for 10 years, continued to speak of the importance of the sense of community and camaraderie which is established during the Invictus Games which continue in the daily life of the participants.
“I am comforted to know that so many nations have implemented this post -jeweler program – these moments of support and network coating because many of these partners are truly concerned,” said Harry.
He continued: “It’s an incredible summit, but everything comes back to what it was before? The answer is that I cannot promise that this will not be the case. You cannot promise that it will not be and that the individuals themselves cannot either, but we have hoped for these last 10 days that some of the experiences and some of the new supporters they may have acquired and the new stories and experiences they have. Now left, they will be able to hang on to this. »»
