Fans are heartbroken over the loss of DJ Unkthe Atlanta rapper behind 2000 hits like “Walk It Out” and “2 Step.” The beloved artist died at the age of 43, TMZ reports.

Details on the death of DJ Unk
DJ Unk, born Anthony Plattexploded in 2006 with his hit single “Walk It Out” from the album “Beat’n Down Yo Block”, which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Another hit from the same album, “2 Step”, also went gold.
The cause of death has not yet been revealed. However, TMZ notes that the musician had health issues in 2009 that slowed his career, but he didn’t let that stop him. He continued to release singles in the years that followed and even landed a role on the soundtrack of the video game NBA 2K9.
DJ Unk’s wife, Sherkita Long-Platt, also confirmed the news of his death. Facebook on Friday January 24. “Please respect me and my family. I just lost my husband and my children just lost their father. Our lives will never be the same again. I LOVE YOU ANTHONY FOREVER,” Read Platt’s post.
Additionally, Unk’s music label, Big Oomp Recordspaid tribute to him with a heartfelt message Instagram post.
