Pink And Carey Hart have found the secret to making their relationship work, no matter the circumstances.
The duo met in 2001 at the Summer X Games in Philadelphia. After reconciling following a brief separation in 2003, Pink proposed to Hart in 2005 while the motocross rider was competing in the Pro 250 class finale in Mammoth, California. They got married in Costa Rica in 2006.
The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer revealed in 2008 that the couple had decided to split after two years of marriage. Their split inspired her tracks “So What”, “Mean”, “I Don’t Believe You” and “Please Don’t Leave Me”, all of which appeared on her. Funhouse album the same year.
The duo finally reunited, when Pink confirmed their reconciliation in February 2010. Nearly eight years later, she opened up about their checkered past while commemorating their 12th anniversary via Instagram. “12 years of marriage today. 16 if you count the 4 years we spent deciding if we were going to live together forever or kill each other,” she captioned a collection of photos of the couple taken over the years in January 2018. “It always has been a good mix of that. Since. Get ’em young and train ’em, ladies. I still have a crush on you @hartluck.
Pink and Hart are now the parents of their daughter Willow, born in 2011, and their son Jameson, born in 2016.
The Grammy winner previously opened up about how becoming a parent alongside Hart “completely changed” her for the better. “I am much more open. I accept myself a lot more. I’m a lot more thoughtful,” she said Carson Daly on Today in 2019. “I anticipate more. I have to. I have to find the balance.
She added: “I think more about the world and what we’re leaving to these kids and the direction we’re heading in, so I guess it changes your music, but I don’t write songs for my kids because that I have the impression that the best have already been written.
