Some concepts undoubtedly dominated the remarks at the top of the action of artificial intelligence in Paris in February: inclusiveness, ethics and deregulation. Debates on these themes, complementary to some but contradictory for others, will have a significant impact on the question of whether technology can or will be used to approach societal evils, including gender inequalities. While the French government has underlined its pursuit of the inclusive, open and safe AI, some of the largest leaders in world technology, including the United States and the United Kingdom, refused to sign the promising joint declaration to do the same.
