An assistant referee who officiated in the EFL and the FA Cup matches should appear in court accused of a sexual infraction for children.
Gareth Viccars faces a burden of penetrating sexual activity with a girl, aged 13 to 15.
He appeared before the Willesden court of first instance last week and was placed in pre -trial detention. He will then appear at Snaresbrook Crown runs on March 3 where a plea will be placed.
Professional managers of the Limited Match (PGMOL), the body responsible for arbitration matches in English professional football, suspended victim while the police investigation was underway.
It is understood that the 46 -year -old man has not officiated this season.
A pgmol spokesman said Sky Sports News: “As soon as the allegations were revealed, Mr. Viscars was immediately suspended.
“As the case is the subject of an in progress police investigation, we are unable to comment more.”
