Sam Wilson’s (Anthony Mackie) are finally at hand. After a substantial quantity of rewritings and reshuffles, the delay of director Julius Onah “Captain America: Brave New World” now arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day. Thanks to its troubled production, the film could potentially be one of the biggest games at the Marvel box office. At the end of the day, however, the question that can make or break the film is as simple as possible – is “Captain America: Brave New World” makes it a good?
The first reactions to the film are now making their way online, and of its appearance, many people think that “Brave New World” has a lot of things that are happening. Editorial director of comicbook.com Ben Kendrick was among those who had the opportunity to see the film in advance, and he underlined several good things on this subject on X (previously known as Twitter):
#Captainicabravenewworld is a lot: a little good, others. It is exciting, offers a valid message in a division period, is a return to the form of the main MCU after a series of disappointments, and is one of the first to progress the history of the MCU itself after.
Elsewhere, film critic Sean Chandler admitted that he was expecting the film. However, he ended up being pleasantly surprised, even if he was somewhat disappointed with the film’s game of bad guys:
#Captainicabravenewworld The two met and exceeded my weak expectations. You can feel the recovery throughout the film and the main villain was a great failure. But it is the most consistent that the MCU has felt since 2019. Sam has good chemistry with its partners and it can deliver the sensations.
Others, like the editor -in -chief Nerdist ROTEM RUSAKThis hashtag show Junior Felixand beyond the trailer Grace Randolph also rented the film. As such, it seems that he is heading in theaters with a lot of good will.
Many early reactions believe that Brave New World is “good”, but something is missing
Several first viewers have stressed that “Captain America: Brave New World” seems to play quite sure things. Criticism and youtuber Cris Parker recognized the quality moments of the film, but found that its overall quality was missing:
#Captainicabravenewworld is a pleasant watch with decent action sequences and some out -of -competition moments. However, this has not completely reached the emotional or narrative heights that I hoped. I loved Mackie as a course and I enjoyed the most serious tone, but he felt slightly empty.
Jeff Nelson From Guy to the cinema came out of the theater with a similar impression. However, he was considerably harder in his criticism:
A flat political thriller with dispersed emotional challenges, recycled plot points and an inconvenience. Another forgettable villain.
A word that has been repeated over and over again was “good”, in the sense that the film is decent but quite intermediate. People ranging from COOL in chief cool Kaitlyn Booth and criticism Brandon Norwood Jam’s report Doug Jamieson All used variations on this theme in their tweets on the film, which they considered solid but not quite stellar. However, as a positive close to the universe, is the fact that even the hardest critics of the film – as Germain Lussier From Gizmodo and Io9, who felt “courageous New World” unnecessarily complex and dispersed – appreciated the work of Anthony Mackie as a new Captain America.
As such, even if “Captain America: Brave New World” may not win the title of the best film in the Marvel cinematographic universe, fans can (apparently) trust it to deliver its most important payload: a Excellent new MCU ceiling that we will have enjoyed many films to come.
“Captain America: Brave New World” opens in theaters on February 14, 2025.
