Manchester United crashed into a 4-1 defeat against Newcastle United earlier in the Premier League today, and Altay Bayindir organized a disastrous performance.
The Red Devils have had a disappointing season so far, and performance against Newcastle has been another horror show. Although there were multiple disappointing performance on the field for Manchester United, Altay Bayindir failed to seize the opportunity given to him against the Magpies.
The 26 -year -old Turkish international received a departure in place of Andre Onana after the performances subject to the errors of the former Inter Milan goalkeeper. Bayindir had to intensify and produce a reliable performance with Manchester United’s goal.
However, it was quite poor with its decision -making, shooting and distribution from the rear. It was his bad pass that allowed Bruno Guimaraes to get on the score sheet for Newcastle, and he was also quite dull with his general death throughout the match. The Turkish international has only completed 47% of his passes.
Manchester United fans would have been relieved to see Onana was abandoned for the match against Newcastle, and they would have expected an improvement in Bayindir. However, the 26 -year -old was completely disappointing, and it will be interesting to see if he has been given more opportunities in the coming weeks.

Bayindir joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023, but he could not maintain a regular starting place since then. Today’s performance clearly showed why the Turkish international was unable to dislodge Onana from the starting program, despite their performances subject to errors.
The 26 -year -old is clearly not good enough to start for a club like Manchester United, and the Red Devils must make it a priority to sign a quality goalkeeper in summer. Onana and Bayindir are quite poor, and a club hoping to win major trophies cannot count on them to be their first choice goalkeeper.
