Ash Handley was part of the tests while Leeds Rhinos scored seven in his victory over Castleford
Former hero Headingley Danny McGuire endured a painful return to his former club while Castleford was beaten 38-24 by Leeds in the Betfred Super League.
The head coach of the Tigers, who won eight major finals in illustrious 16 years with the Rhinos, is preparing for life at the opposite end of the elite after his new side collapsed in their third consecutive defeat.
Three late trials lent the final dashboard a clearly flattering look for visitors, who had been completely upgraded by a forced interior team to start the match without the two half-doss of the first choice.
Seven different players embarrassed for the trials for the rhinoceros, who were barely forced to break the perspiration when they lean on last week’s victory in Salford, which cost them Brodie Croft and Matt Frawley thanks to an injury.
McGuire had called on his side to show more fight after last week’s heavy defeat against St Helens, but they were canceled too many errors in the first half and made a chance to fight the first 23 minutes free.
Leeds failed to punish a caprician pass from Fletcher Rooney deep inside the territory of visitors, then Morgan Gannon, used in a rare role in compensation, in the area while Castleford survived.
Riley Lumb lost control of the landing of what seemed to be a certain try in the corner at 18 minutes, but Leeds finally opened the scoring five minutes later when Jake Connor found space between Alex Mellor and Jon Westerman to touch.
Connor duly launched the first of his five successful conversions and Leeds was operational, Keenan Palasia Afflux for their second and Harry Newman ending at the end of the smart kick of Captain Ash Handley while the hosts pulled 18 points at halftime.
All the weak hopes that McGuire could have had a response, except to evaporate within two minutes of the restart while a movement of the radical leeds ended with Connor nourishing the impressive Jack Sinfield to pass for a richly deserved test.

Jack Sinfield also entered a leeds test in Headingley
Handley crossed a fifth before the visitors finally put on the match sheet, a tackle missed on George Lawler allowing the Castleford propeller to send Rooney skating for an effort converted by Tex Hoy.
Wingers Hall and Lumb both added tests in their respective corners, and Castleford needed a helping hand to disturb the dashboard again, a badly judged pass from James McDonnell intercepted by Zac Cini who ran 30 meters to grab visitors in second place when the minutes dropped.

Ryan Hall scored one of the four rhinos in the second half-time in a swinging victory
Case at least managed to finish with a fulfillment, Jeremiah Simbiken crossing shortly after another Cini broke out of Deep, then Innes senior by jumping by his own 10, with four of four per Hoy contributing to the final total somewhat fortuitous on his side.
Sky Sports will once again show each match of the Super League live this season – including two games every round live exclusively, with the four remaining games each week shown on Sky Sports +
