The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will meet on Friday to discuss the future of Brazilian Dorival Junior coach, according to reports.
The Dorival team was beaten 4-1 by world champions and Amers rivals in Argentina during a World Cup qualification match in 2026, which prompted the rapid programming of a meeting of the president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, said sources at ESPN Brasil.
Sources have said that, although the examination meetings between Dorival and the CBF are routine during international windows, the heavy defeat of Buenos Aires accelerated a face -to -face meeting with coaches.
However, it is understood that Dorival has not yet been informed of a decision concerning his future.

Meanwhile, the reports continue to circulate by suggesting that the CBF looks at the director of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, in possible Dorival replacement. The boss of Flamengo Filipe Luis and Jorge Jesus, currently in charge of Al Hilal, are also considered as potential candidates.
The Selecao endured a turbulent qualification period. They are currently sitting in the fourth place in the table with only four games to play, after winning six, fired three and lost five.
The first six reach all the finals of the World Cup, with the seventh place entering the intercontinental playoffs for a place in the tournament next year in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Dorival, a former 62-year-old defensive midfielder, has been head coach of the Brazil national team since January 2024.
His management career began in 2002 and he never trained in his native country, taking charge of more than 20 clubs, including several relays with Santos and Sao Paulo.
