Aside from the bad guys who have been out of existence or who died horrible dead, some nasty of Marvel cinematographic universes have simply ended up being behind bars. To keep them in check, these threats to society and the superheroes were sent to the raft, a supermax prison planted a slap in the middle of the ocean just near the island of Ryker. It was introduced for the first time in “Captain America: Civil War”, when those who opposed the Sokovia agreements were put into bags and marked in fancy prison sons, to be quickly broken by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Since then, we have seen real law breezers finding themselves trapped on this rock without any outcome unless someone gives the green light. But the MCU is a large place, and following the events of “Captain America: Brave New World”, the installation is only doing more people.
From faulty politicians to the maniacal war criminals, the raft has so far a fascinating list of occupants-so much so that we hope that we hope a prison break soon, so that we can see these Neer-Do-Wells in the open air. If they escape, that would only mean more chaos, calls for the action of their sworn enemies and crossing rivers in areas that fans would never have planned. For the moment, let’s take an appeal to who is currently locked in the raft and it is unlikely to see land of soon.
Thunderbolt Ross
After his very public explosion, infused at Gamma in “Captain America: Brave New World”, Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford) did the noble thing by accepting defeat and recognizing that he is a danger to the public as any new red Hulk. At the end of the film, we learned that he had gladly abandoned to be imprisoned in the raft, verifying that even if he could have been transformed into a monster, the man below knew what decisions should be taken.
But while Ross could have a future behind bars, we don’t know how long it will last. When Red Hulk made his debut on paper, he was really a new enemy for Hulk to swing his big fists before becoming another kind of anti-hero in the Marvel universe. In addition to being part of the team that bears his name (Les Thunderbolts), Ross has even made a brief passage as a sleeping. With this mind, there is a chance that the best part of “Brave New World” can come back, and the man behind the rage monster and the former commander -in -chief is all for that.
When asked if he would be ready to get into the divided shoes of his monstrous alter-ego, Ford said (via Gamesradar), “I hope he can come back. I hope [there’s] A story in which it can become something other than red hulk. I think we have the capacity to move the form between Hulkness and humanity, but it is really not my department. “We hope that the Ross prison time will soon be examined.
Samuel Sterns
While Ross could adopt the noble approach by moving away from society, a man who really deserves to be in the deep and dark hole in which he found himself is a super genius Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson). After orchestrated the whole test that prompted Ross to see red in “Brave New World”, Sterns went, declaring himself the hero in the twisted game he created for himself. In the post-key scene, it is revealed that Sterns was sent to the raft alongside Ross, where he alludes to the battles that await us to Wilson and to the rest of the heroes who are ready to face a new threat with a familiar face in “Avengers: Doomsday”.
Even thus, being a brilliantly diabolical intelligence suggests that the only reason why Sterns was sent to the raft is that he wants to be there. Throughout “Brave New World”, the villain known in comics while the leader spends most of the film to shoot strings, ensuring that everything happens according to his evil plan. In this spirit, there is a chance that his plan can include his possible capture and his time held in the correctional establishment that is lost at sea. Could there be a chance that Sterns will become the leader of a revolt or frees himself alone to provoke more chaos in the future? With the MCU now the house of three Hulks (and a Sakaariaar with Skaar), Sterns could show his huge head further. Let’s just hope that it will not yet take 17 years before him.
Baron Zemo
Perhaps one of the greatest bad guys in the MCU is the one who also took advantage of a brief moment of freedom after being released from prison by two of the most powerful heroes on the earth. Having entered and becoming the number one enemy of Wakanda after the events of “Captain America: Civil War”, Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl) had a brief fresh air when he was forced to work alongside Sam Wilson and Bucky (Sebastian Stan) during “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
However, his return time with the company was short -lived, because after negotiations with Dora Milaje, Bucky sent the baron to the raft, where he was supposed to continue his sentence without date of release on the cards. The initial theory was that the former decorated Sokovian hero would end up directing the “Thunderbolts” as he does in the comics, but as this film approaches, there was still no sign of him, which is disappointing, especially since Brühl is impatient to bring the character to the MCU action.
Talk to Screen diatriber In 2024, Brühl discussed the luck he returned to the franchise since Zemo broke out but not completely out of the world filled with heroes and bad guys. “It’s good for me, I can wait. I am a very patient man,” said the actor. “And who knows, I mean, I am still not dead, I am very confident that I will come back.” Well, he could be out of line, but he is right.
Diamond
Now that “Daredevil: Born Again” seems to erase the troubled waters connecting Netflix programs to the MCU, which also includes the other heroes at the street which invented the defenders and, more importantly, the bad guys who came with them. In the case of “Luke Cage”, a villain who turned out to be a problem was Willis Stryker (Erik Laray Harvey), who, even after obtaining an improved costume to face the Power Man of Harlem, ended up being shot and found himself in a hotspot for imprisoned supervillains. Revalled to be the half-brother of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Stryker, alias Diamondback, tried to frame our boy Luke for a series of murders, only for the bullet-proof hero to put the records and bring Stryker back into the process.
Unfortunately, like all the other characters in the series of Netflix / Marvel shows, there is no confirmation on the question of whether Diamondback would return to the MCU, since his half-brother who likes a yellow shirt was not confirmed either. Anyway, all you need is a swing by a very specific cell in the raft to confirm that Stryker is waiting to obtain a return on investment.
Trish Walker
Poor Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor). It is one of the few inhabitants of the raft that started with the best intentions before everything happens laterally. After his half-sister Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) attracted all the attention as a super fueled private establishment, Walker tried to give herself superpowers in the third season of the Netflix program, “Jessica Jones”. The results did not take place as she hoped, while Walker took the pseudonym Hellcat and quickly stained the name by earning murderous trends and forcing Jones to bring down the last remaining entry of the family she had left.
At the end of the third season, he confirmed that Walker is heading for the raft to live among the worst of the worst in an isolated area, without a promise of liberation or a brilliant future of recovery. Of course, since Matt Murdock won a second chance with Disney + the other heroes and the characters around them could draw attention to a later date. For the moment, however, the Hellcat is indeed put in cage until further notice, without assurance that its rehabilitation will have worked and that it will not go for another tower with its dear sister, Jess.
